Biography

A bi-coastal actor from the heart of Long Island, NY, James was bitten by the acting bug as a high school freshman. James studied multiple acting disciplines including Shakespearean, The Stanislavsky Method, and the Chekhov method, and honed his skills on the stage, appearing in productions of both classic and modern plays at State University of New York at Stony Brook’s famed “Staller Center for the Arts.” After graduating Summa Cum Laude early with degrees in Theatre, History, and Philosophy, James moved to Los Angeles to advance his goal of starring in television and film.

In his first year on the West Coast, James began studying extensively under some of LA’s best teachers; including Leslie Kahn, Annie Grindlay, and Deborah Aquila. In addition to training, James began working; appearing in projects ranging from national commercials to independent films. By combining the range and intensity learned by acting on the stage with the depth and stillness needed for the camera, James brings a lively, multi-dimensional character to every one of his performances.

When not training or performing, James can usually be found reading, hiking, hugging Pit-bulls, rooting for the New York Yankees, and watching “MAD MEN” returns.
