Michelle Johnston

Biography

Michelle Johnston, one of the industry’s most sought-after choreographers and movement coaches has over 20 years of experience in the business. Her work as a choreographer can be seen on television in such shows as “Castle”, “Mistresses”, “Parks & Recreation”, “American Dreams”, and “Mad Men”, and in films like “A Cinderella Story”, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”, and “Gangster Squad”. Michelle has also worked with such stars as Jane Krakowski, Keanu Reeves, Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, Demi Moore, and John Travolta to name a few.

Michelle served as choreographer on Madonna’s “Who’s That Girl” World Tour and segments of the “Girlie Show” World Tour which took her career to a whole new level. She has worked with artists like Alicia Keys, Ritchie Sambora, Lil’ Kim, Hillary Duff, and Kelly Rowland. Michelle has also been in demand in the Broadway scene, working with Oscar nominated actress, Lesley Ann Warren in “Dream” as well as touring with the Tony Award winning show, “Fosse” in one of the lead roles.

In front of the camera or behind it, Michelle always brings her experience and expertise to the table. She recently directed and produced the 2016 film, “A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits” for Freeform and Disney Channel and is currently directing a made-for-TV movie for Nickelodeon entitled, “Inside Voice”, set to be released in 2018.
