RECENT BOOKINGS: THE WAY OUT, GOOD PEOPLE, THE QUEENS PROJECT


Trey Gerrald was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. At the age of 15, Trey was accepted into the drama division of the SC Governor’s School for the Arts. He was one of 15 students statewide chosen for the prestigious residential high school. He attended Coastal Carolina University and received a degree in Acting. Along the way he earned 6 Irene Ryan Acting Nominations from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Upon graduating, Trey completed two acting internships before moving to New York City.


On television Trey has had recurring roles on Netflix’s ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK, Hulu’s DEADBEAT, and the NBC sitcom NEXT CALLER opposite Jeffrey Tambor and Dane Cook. Other TV appearances include, FX’s YOU’RE THE WORST, NETFLIX’s SLUTTY TEENAGE BOUNTY HUNTERS, BET’s THE COMEDY GET DOWN, POPTV’s NIGHTCAP, APPLE’s LITTLE AMERICA, The CW’s THE CARRIE DIARIES, TVLand’s YOUNGER, Steven Spielberg’s PUBLIC MORALS, and Tina Fey’s UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT, along with Lee Daniels’ and Whitney Cummings’ Amazon Pilot GOOD PEOPLE, with Lisa Kudrow, Martin Short, and Greg Kinnear.


Film credits include: Todd Solondz’s WIENER-DOG, FOURTH MAN OUT, CE SENTIMENT DE L’ETE, GRIND (with Anthony Rapp), KATE (Best Supporting Actor Award) and CAREFREE.


Theatre credits include: LA MAMA, TEATRO CIRCULO, THEATRE 54, FLORIDA REPERTORY, Maine State Music Theatre, Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, Ogunquit Playhouse and The Waterside Playhouse in Key West, Florida. Aside from acting, Trey has worked in company management for the Broadway tours of THE DROWSY CHAPERONE and BEAUTY & THE BEAST, as assistant to the directing team for the 25th Anniversary tour of LES MISERABLES (now on Broadway), and an Assistant Stage Manager on the Broadway tour of BILLY ELLIOT the musical.
