Joey Marie Urbina is a Mexican-American, stage-trained actress and singer from Houston, Texas. A graduate from Texas State University’s BFA Acting Program, Joey is known for her role as Xiamara in FX's critically acclaimed crime drama SNOWFALL. While attaining her BFA, she traveled abroad to England to study acting with the Royal Shakespeare Company, crediting it as one of her most memorable experiences. Joey broke ground in LA by starring in the award-winning short film MASKS, that swept and won Best Drama, Critic’s Choice and Audience Award at the NBCUniversal Short Film Festival. Earlier this year Urbina guest starred in Netflix’s first procedural medical drama, PULSE, and most recently she starred in the Indie thriller THREE YEARS GONE. Both of which, according to Deadline, are set to release in 2025.
