RECENT BOOKINGS: RAMBLER, COBRA KAI (Recurring, Netflix), REBEL MOON, BARBIE
Patrick Luwis is an actor from Washington, DC. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Rhetoric from Hampden-Sydney College, where he performed as a lead in six plays. He also studied at the University of Oxford in England and in New Zealand at the University of Auckland, which he regards as one of the best times of his life because, for once, his American accent was considered cool. In Los Angeles, he has trained at studios and with coaches such as Margie Haber, Howard Fine, Lesly Kahn, Stan Kirsch, Sara Mornell, and The Groundlings.
Most recently, he can be seen acting opposite Amanda Seyfried as her college boyfriend in THE DROPOUT (Hulu) and as a 1920s Footballer in Damien Chazelle’s BABYLON (Paramount). This summer, he will appear in Greta Gerwig’s highly anticipated BARBIE movie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. Luwis wrapped a supporting role in REBEL MOON, an epic space opera written and directed by Zack Snyder (MAN OF STEEL, JUSTICE LEAGUE). REBEL MOON is a Netflix production and is set to come out this winter on December 23rd. Luwis can also be seen guest-starring on shows such as NCIS, ANIMAL KINGDOM, and DANGER FORCE, and as supporting characters in independent films such as THE GAMBLER and MEETING YOU, MEETING ME. Earlier this year, Luwis worked on his first musical film, THE BALLAD OF ROSA MAE, written and directed by up-and-coming filmmaker Gray Fagan. The musical is a period piece and was filmed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Luwis is an all-around athlete and loves anything active – skateboarding, basketball, soccer, etc. He also loves wildlife and being outside. If a snake isn't poisonous, he will most likely pick it up. Even if it is, he still might. Other hobbies include rock climbing, fly fishing, and writing.
